DERMAL FILLERS

All treatments are carried out by our skilled Aesthetician

Dermal fillers are an increasingly popular treatment and can help to temporarily restore lost volume in the face, neck and hands using hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally occurring in our bodies.

Lip enhancements -starting from £260

Dermal fillers can be injected into the lips to tackle a whole host of different imperfections such as asymmetry, smoker’s lines, wrinkled lips, and to add definition to the cupid's bow. This popular and relatively simple and non-surgical procedure is a great option for those who require a quick enhancement to their lower face.

Lip enhancement treatment options

There are 2 options available for lip filler

  1.  Shaping- this involves injecting thin linear streaks of soft dermal filler superficially across the vermillion border surrounding the lips. This is ideal for those with little shape or fine perioral lines. Subtle changes can also be made to enhance the lip shape that already exists.

  2. Volumisation- this involves injecting deeper into the ‘wet-dry’ border of the lips to add substance to wasted areas and can even create a ‘soft-pout’ when injected centrally. Volumisation can also be combined with shaping if required.

Cheek treatments - starting from £350

Over time the face loses fat, causing the cheeks to become flat and saggy, giving way to a sunken-in look. Although some are born with naturally high cheekbones, achieving the look of sculpted cheeks can be accomplished through non-surgical treatments that focus on restoring plumpness, volume and definition.

What can be done?

Dermal fillers can be used to restore volume to the midface and recreate youthful contours. I’ll target the fillers directly above your cheekbones to mould and define your natural cheekbone structure. Fillers can also be used to enhance areas lower down on the face such as the nasolabial folds. Client satisfaction for this procedure tends to be very high, and the effects of the fillers can last for up to 18 months.

Jaw definition - starting from £450

As the skin loses elasticity and begins to sag, the jawline starts to appear soft and lacking definition. Dermal fillers can help create a contoured masculine or feminine jawline that frames the face perfectly. By filling in the lines and restoring lost volume, a lifting effect can be created.

How does jawline filler work?
A jawline filler treatment takes around 30 minutes from start to finish. I recommend wearing comfortable clothing and no make-up when you arrive for your treatments. I’ll administer the jawline fillers through a series of small injections in multiple sites along the mandible. These are typically not painful, although some people may experience mild levels of discomfort as you would with any injection or a prick to the skin. If this is the case, a numbing topical cream can be applied to help reduce sensation in the jaw. The most common jawline fillers contain hyaluronic acid and are particularly effective combined with the Nefertiti treatment.

Jawline filler results
The application of dermal fillers is used to effectively sculpt and reshape the jaw, creating balance and symmetry to frame the face. For most clients the treatment results are visible almost immediately. Using dermal fillers to shape, define, and enhance the lower facial contours also has the added benefit of decreasing the appearance of loose skin and the appearance of a double chin (especially when combined with a chin filler procedure).

Nasolabial treatments - starting from £260

The nasolabial fold is the deep crease running from either side of the nose down towards the corners of the mouth. This crease becomes more noticeable as part of the natural ageing process. As fat is lost from the cheeks, skin volume is reduced, making this fold appear deeper. Repeated smiling or having a ‘big smile’ may result in permanent, deeper creases in this area.

What can be done?

Deep nasolabial folds can be corrected through injections of dermal filler into the surrounding area, restoring the lost volume and softening the appearance of these creases. The goal of nasolabial fold injections is to even out the skin volume, leaving you with a smoother, refreshed-looking appearance.

Tear trough treatments - Starting from £350

Do you suffer from dark circles below your eyes? This is caused by the soft tissue naturally starting to lose volume as you age. This may result in a dreary appearance that can make you appear older.

My tear trough treatments can help to reduce these unruly dark circles and rescue your youthful appearance. This treatment is very popular for those who want to achieve natural-looking results without the need for invasive surgery.

A suitable candidate for tear trough filler must have sufficient hollowness with thick redundant skin. This enables the low-density filler to sit well within the tear trough.

Marionette line treatment - starting from £260

Marionette lines (found at the corner of the mouth) are long vertical wrinkles that traverse from the corners of the lips to the chin. Occurring with age, smoking or genetics, these creases could give an aged or sad look to the face and could progress to form jowls later on.

What can be done?

It is possible to temporarily lift these corners with dermal filler by adding volume and anchoring the corners higher up.

Chin treatments - starting from £260

Dermal fillers can be used to shape and enhance the overall appearance of the chin area to help create a more satisfactory profile. An under-formed or weak chin is often inherited and can have an impact on a patient’s overall confidence.

Dermal Filler can be used to stiffen the skin and define the chin and jowl area, lessening the weakness of the chin. Chin filler can be used to lengthen and enhance your lower facial appearance, creating a more balanced profile.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty
(nose) treatments - starting from £450

Nose filler is safer and is a non-invasive substitute to conventional surgical rhinoplasty treatments. Non-surgical rhinoplasties are a great option for those wanting to change the shape of their nose without committing to permanent results or large costs. For most of my clients the results are visible almost instantly and, as a general anaesthetic is not used, there is no excessive downtime.

Hand fillers - starting from £450

Apart from the face and neck, the hands are the most visible unclothed area of the body and can often reveal our true age. However, despite great advances in facial cosmetic procedures, hand revitalisation has been largely neglected, until now! Ageing of the hands is characterised by loss of dermal elasticity and atrophy of the subcutaneous tissue. Thus, veins, tendons and bony structures become apparent. This aged appearance can be improved by using fillers to restore the volume of the soft tissue.

What can be done?
Dermal fillers can be injected superficially into the dermal layer of the skin at multiple points on the hands. The filler used is often ‘runny’ allowing it to spread over larger areas before toughening up. Fillers can help to create a youthful appearance to the hands that can last up to 2 years. The other good news for my clients is that, due to little superficial innervation across the dorsal aspects of the hands, this procedure is often reported to be pain free!

Profhilo treatments

Profhilo is an injectable facial line softening treatment made from hyaluronic acid that is designed to address skin that is losing its elasticity and firmness with age. It's injected just below the surface of the skin where it disperses quickly and reacts with the tissue to boost hydration.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in the skin and throughout the body. It works by attracting and binding water in the skin, providing volume and hydration, but also ‘cushions’ and supports collagen and elastin fibres and also provides a medium, or carrier, for the efficient transport of chemical messages between the cells.

Profhilo treatment involves two appointments spaced four weeks apart and each procedure will take about 10-15 minutes. For the vast majority of clients, there is zero downtime.

Profhilo is suitable for the majority of people, but I will book in a consultation before any treatment takes place to ensure you understand the expected results, and any potential side effects.
